A former parking lot, this beautiful new waterfront park features a solar powered public restroom, state-of-the-art playground area with an aviation theme, shade structures with picnic tables, and areas to view the incoming air traffic at the adjacent Albert Whitted Airport.

The design was molded around the annual Grand Prix event, as was the construction schedule in order to accommodate the City’s commitments and needs for that event.

A public dedication and grand opening ceremony was held February 10, 2008 to introduce the new park to the community.
