Hennessy at Bat - Carpenter Field - Phillies Spring Training Facility

After the successful completion of the new Minor League Baseball offices, Hennessy has been called up to the Major Leagues.

In April 2009, Hennessy Construction began work at the Philadelphia Phillies' Spring Training home in Clearwater, Florida.  This project includes 10,000sf of renovations and the addition of a 6,000sf second floor to the existing clubhouse. The scope of work includes sitework and utilities, selective building demolition, micro-piling, double-T roof panel shoring, waterproofing and membrane roofing. Interior upgrades include new finishes throughout, new elevator, new commercial kitchen and player dining room, offices, conference room, equipment storage, and new mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems. A continuous walkway around the entire second floor perimeter will overlook the four practice fields surrounding the building.

Just like baseball players, construction workers have a hard time doing their job in the rain.  This project has had to endure more than their fair share of rain days.  In fact, in one record week, the site received almost 21 inches of rain.  Despite these unforeseen setbacks, Hennessy is still on schedule for delivering the building to the Owner before the end of this year.
