Westminster Shores Celebrates Groundbreaking 
The official groundbreaking ceremony to launch the construction of the Westminster Shores Bahama Place building took place on Thursday August 21, 2008 at the project site. The guest speakers included City Council Chairman James Bennett, Westminster Communities Chairman of the Board William Hull, Westminster Shores resident Janice Strickland, and Bahama Shores Neighborhood Association representative Linda Lucas. Jeff Weatherhead from Westminster Communities was the master of ceremonies. 
After all of the speeches concluded, many pictures were taken of the various attendees “breaking ground” with their golden shovels. The roughly 75 attendees were all filled with delight that the construction of the new building is ready to begin.
